What Does a Car Cost From IST to Sultanahmet?
| Car | Passengers | Price per Car |
|---|---|---|
| Mercedes Vito | Up to 6 | €100 |
| Mercedes Sprinter | 10 to 15 | €120 |
| Mercedes E-Class | Up to 3 | €140 |
| Mercedes S-Class | Up to 3 | €300 |
These prices apply to the rest of Fatih too. If you are still comparing districts before you book, our guide Where to Stay in Istanbul will help.
Can the Car Reach Your Hotel Door in the Old City?
Not always. Traffic is restricted around Sultanahmet Square, and many small hotels sit in narrow lanes behind the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The driver heads for the nearest place where stopping is allowed, and you may have a few steps left on foot.
Much of the ground here is cobbled, so a light bag is easier than a large one. Knowing your hotel name in advance lets us plan where to stop, and it is worth asking the hotel whether someone can help carry your luggage from the car.
What Is in the Price, and What If the Flight Is Late?
We track your flight, and the 60 minutes of free waiting start when the plane lands. After that, 15 euros are added for every 30 minutes or part of it. Tolls, parking, VAT and a child seat cost you nothing extra.
Who Is This Route For?
A family that wants to go straight to the Old City, without changing from one kind of transport to another with children and suitcases. If you would like help inside the terminal before you reach the car, see our welcome service at Istanbul Airport.
